Former Governor and Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel , Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Adewale Babatunde Ajayi and other stakeholders have rallied support for Eri-Nbe 92.1Fm, the first radio station in Remoland, located in Sotubo, Ogijo area of industrial town of Sagamu in Ogun State
Sen. Daniel and Akarigbo who pledged their support in separate goodwill messages during official commissioning of the radio station on Monday at its premises Broadcasting House 1b Eri-Nbe Lane opposite Sawmill, Sotunbo, Sagamu, called on the people of Remoland to give maximum support, spiritually, morally and financially for the survival of Eri-Nbe 92.1 FM, which according to them has come to stay to promote the interest and project activities of Remos in the state and Nigeria at large
Daniel who was represented by one of his aides , Chief Kolade Okeowo also promised to be among the first set of high profile guests to appear live on one of the station's programmes as soon as it commences full transmission
Also the paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Ajayi represented by both Aminishan of Oko-Sagamu, Oba Odunayo Babatunde Gabriel and Alariye of Ariye- Sagamu, Oba Solomon Adekunle Oyenuga showered encomium on Chairman of Eri-Nbe Radio Station, Prophet Israel Ajadi for his vision in establishing such a radio station
The monarch expressed support of Remos for the radio station, saying radio as most powerful medium of communication has capacity to transform not only communities in Sagamu but the entire Remoland
The Akarigbo assured the entire management of the radio station, particularly its founder, Prophet Ajadi of necessary support to ensure sustenance of the radio station in the state
Similarly the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunnowo represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojadunni emphasized the importance of such radio station in providing the needed intelligence for the police through broadcast of programmes and news to tackle criminals in the Remo axis of the State
He pledged the support of the State Police Command to always provide adequate support for the station and its personnel
Managing Director of the radio station and veteran broadcast journalist Dele Ayodo during the historic event, assured listeners of enjoying the best of programming and news packaging when broadcast commences fully in the next one week on the radio station
The station according to him, has crop of seasoned broadcasters who are always ready to deliver high quality programmes and authentic news on air
"The station is among the most equipped radio station in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole, to serve the interest of humanity, host community, Remo the entire people in Ogun State "
He added that the establishment of the radio station would impact greatly on value of landed property and improve economic activities of the area , expressing the readiness of the station to work closely with religious organizations in Christianity and Islam on broadcast of religious programmes while calling for equal patronage of host community and corporate organizations
The highly versatile broadcast journalist with over 30 years experience in the media industry, expressed confidence that the establishment of the radio station would outlive its founder and present generation of people
Also speaking ,the highly elated Chairman of the radio station, Prophet Israel Ajadi was particularly full of appreciation for Managing Director of the station, Ayodo who provided the needed technical support for establishment of radio station, including obtaining operational license from National Broadcasting Commission as well as erection of mast and purchased of broadcast equipments for the station's studio
He appreciated the warmed reception of people of host communities in Ogijo, especially Palm grove Sotunbo Sagamu led by Badamosi Sulaimon and that of Ijagba-Sotunbo community, noting the moral support of traditional rulers, Baales and Clerics as well as his wife, Mary and entire family members for the spiritual support given which helped him to actualize the vision of establishing the radio station
High point of the historic event was the unveiling of radio station by Senator Daniel Akarigbo and Police Commissioner,Lanre Ogunnowo
