Ogun SUBEB Asks Teachers To Be Responsible, Urges Learners To Be Committed To Learning

 

Teachers have been charged to be responsible in the discharge of duties, just like learners urged to be committed to learning as public primary schools across Ogun State resumed for Second Term 2024/2025 Academic Session on Monday 

Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)Secretary, Dr. Mikhail Lawal gave the charge during the second term monitoring exercise on school resumption, saying that teachers should demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment, which are key to academic excellence.

Dr. Lawal commended the large turnout of learners despite the fact that it was first day of resumption in schools, while encouraging the teachers to impact knowledge on the learners to justify their pay. He enjoined them to cooperate and support the current administration in the State towards making education more accessible to every child.

Responding, Headteachers of Obafemi Owode Local Government Nursery and Primary School II, Mr. Kinoshi Adebayo and his counterpart from Premier Model Nursery and Primary School, Abeokuta, Mrs. Sidikat Adeniyi, assured the Board of their readiness to put in their best and perform their duties as expected.

Other schools monitored were Ebenezer African Church Nursery and Primary School, Ita-Oshin; Holy Prophet Nursery and Primary School, Adedotun all in Abeokuta North Local Government Area and Emmanuel African Church School, Akinjole, as well as African Church Nursery and Primary School, Awowo in Ewekoro Local Government among others.
