Ireede-Oginni Grassroots Foundation Founder Becomes South West Regional Co-ordinator Of Anti-Drug Abuse Group

Founder of Ireede-Oginni Grassroots Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization, Hon.(Chief) Mrs. Zainab Funmilayo Ireede-Oginni has been appointed as Lagos ,South West Regional Co-ordinator of National T-Plan Drug Abuse Rehabilitation, an Anti-Drug Abuse Group, established to compliment the ongoing efforts of National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) against drug addicts and drug dealers in Nigeria 

Ireede-Oginni was recently appointed alongside other regional Co-ordinators in other five regional zones in the country including Comrade Abdullahi Baba Salihu, Gombe State, North East Region, Hon.(Engr.) Orjiokpara Chukwuma Clement, Enugu State South East Region, Mr.Agorondu Woke, Rivers State, South South Region as well as Dahiru Aliyu Dalhatu, Kaduna State, North West Region and Arc. QS. Frank Danladi , Benue State, North Central Region while Hon.Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu is serving as National Co-ordinator of the group 

Similarly State Co-ordinators in the 36 states in the federation were appointed to serve under each of the six respective Regional Co-ordinators in the country to join the war  against drug menace in the country 

Founder of National T-Plan Drug Abuse Rehabilitation, Dr. Aminu Gumel from Jigawa State commended the National Co-ordinator for the choice of those appointed as Regional and State Co-ordinators, saying it will make the ongoing battle against drug abuse,more effective to reduce the disturbing rate of drug addicts, particularly among youths in various communities in the country 

He emphasised the need for Co-ordinators to show more love for those involved in such unholy acts , in order to bring them closer for counseling against drug abuse and how such abuse can destroy their lives and future 

Dr Aminu Gumel said there would be capacity building workshop for Co-ordinators later in Abuja , where they would better trained on how to carry out their respective functions to make the advocacy campaign more effect across the country 

Reacting to her appointment as Lagos South West Regional Co-ordinator for the anti-drug abuse group, Hon.(, Chief), Mrs Zainab Ireede-Oginni described it as a call to do more for humanity,  particularly rehabilitation of those involved in abuse of hard drugs in the society 

She added that working as South West Regional Co-ordinator for National T-Plan Drug Abuse Rehabilitation would further encourage her to consolidate on what her foundation has been doing in the past two years two years to support less priviledged in society through scholarship for gifted children and empowerment for poor rural women to grow their small scale businesses to alleviating poverty in homes 

The Co-founder of Future Promise Group of Schools Abeokuta and Chief Executive officer of Terra Integrated Services Limited, an emerging conglomerate in Nigeria, reassured that Ireede-Oginni Grassroots Foundation would continue to encourage war against drug abuse, particularly among the youths , counsel and  support them through award of scholarship to go to school and be useful in the society 

She commended the founder of National T-Plan Drug Abuse Rehabilitation,Dr. Gumel and National Co-ordinator of the group, Hon. Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu for the initiative to fight menace of  drugs abuse in various communities, particularly among youth and how to reduce it to bearest minimum and ensure a decent society
