120 To Bag First Class As FUNAAB Holds 32nd Convocation For 3, 567 Fresh Graduands



No fewer than one hundred and twenty (120) out of  3,567 graduands will be graduating with First Class Bachelor Degrees in various undergraduate programmes at the 32nd Convocation ceremony of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) holding on the Alabata main campus of the institution in the Ogun State capital on Saturday 

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Olusola Kehinde who revealed this on Wednesday during a press conference, also disclosed that one thousand, six hundred and twenty-six (1,626) finished with Second Class (Upper Division), one thousand, six hundred and twenty-four (1,624) in Second Class (Lower Division) as well as one hundred and sixty-four (164) who will be graduating with a Pass grade and remaining 33 in non-classified degree in Veterinary Medicine 

According to him, thirty students will be getting Post Graduate Diploma, two hundred and seventy-four (274) will be earning Master's Degrees in various departments in addition to one hundred and thirty-six (136) for  Doctor of Philosophy Degrees PhD across various departments 


The Vice-Chancellor said that the weeklong activities of the 32nd Convocation which started last Friday with Special Jummah Service at the mosque and later with a Special Church Service last Sunday, would continue on Thursday, 23rd January and Friday 24th January with Agro-Machinery Exhibition at 10:00am on the campus where various research outputs and agricultural products of the institution would be exhibited for the public to see and patronize 

"On Friday, 24th January by 10:00 am , two monuments will be named after two former Vice-Chancellors of the university,  Prof.Olusola Bamidele Oyewole and the immediate past, Prof. Felix Kolawole Salako" , he stated 




He added that the office of the Consular General of German would also be part of exhibition with their various agricultural products 

The Executive Secretary of National Agricultural Development Fund, Alhaji Abu Ibrahim will be delivering the convocation lecture on Saturday, hours before the convocation proper 

The Vice-Chancellor lauded the staff and students who have been very supportive, particularly in the last three years in ensuring smooth academic activities consistent convocation in the institution
