Professor Oluwatobi Pemede has been appointed as a new Director of School of Part- Time Studies of the Lagos State University Ojo, alongside other appointees for various centres on the campus of the institution
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Sunday, approved the appointments of the appointees whose tenure in office would last for between a period of two years and three years respectively
The new Director, School of Part- Time Studies, Professor Oluwatobi Pemede is from Faculty of Education, Lagos State University, his two-year appointment takes effect from *Monday, 14th October 2024* to Tuesday, 13th October 2026 according to the statement
Similarly, Professor Adewunmi Falode from the Department of History and International Studies, Faculty Of Arts,
is the new Director, LASU Centre For Peace and Security Studies, his two-year appointment takes effect from Sunday, 25th August 2024 to Tuesday, 25th August 2026
Dr Raheem Okewale, Department of Local Government Administration and Development Studies, Faculty of Management Sciences, is the Acting Head, Department of Local Government Administration and Development Studies, Faculty of Management Sciences, of the university
His two -year appointment begins Immediately from last Tuesday, 3rd September 2024* to *Wednesday, 2nd September 2026
Also Professor Dauphin Moro, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, is the Head, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University.
His tenure in office is for a period of three (3) years, with effect from *Sunday, 15th October 2024* to *Thursday, 14th October, 2027
Another appointee, Dr Adekunle Oladejo, Department of Science and Technology Education, Faculty of Education, is the Academic Programmes Officer, Lagos State University Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education (LASU-ACEITSE).
His tenure is for a period of two (2) years* with effect from *Wednesday, 29th May 2024* to *Thursday, 28th May 2026*.
Professor Morenike Adewolu, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Science, is the Chairman, Lagos State University Students' Disciplinary Committee.
His tenure in office is for a period of *three (3) years with immediate effect from last Monday, 16th October 2024 to Friday, 15th October 2027*.
Meanwhile the appointment of others were renewed among whom is Professor Olufemi Adeogun, Faculty of Education, Lagos State University, whose appointment as the Director, Lagos State University Sandwich Degree Programme was renewed.
His second term is for a period of three (3) years, beginning from Sunday, 15th October 2024* to *Thursday, 14th October 2027*.
Also Professor Yunus Dauda, Faculty of Management Sciences, his renewal of appointment as the Director, Lagos State University School of Advanced and Basic Studies (LASUBAS) is for a period of *one (1) year*, with effect from *Sunday, 15th October 2024* to *Tuesday, 14th October 2025*.
Similarly, Dr Adeola Olaoye, Faculty of Science, has a renewal of appointment as the Acting Director, Radiation, Lagos State University.
His second term in office is for a period of *two (2) years*, with effect from *Tuesday, 15th October 2024* to *Wednesday, 14th October 2026*.
Dr Titilayo Onadipe-Shalom, Department of Linguistics, African Languages and Communication, Faculty of Arts, the renewal of appointment as the Acting Head, Department of Linguistics, African Languages and Communication, Faculty of Arts, Lagos State University.
It is for a period of *two (2) years*, with effect from *Thursday, 5th September 2024* to *Friday, 4th September 2026
Dr Hakeem Akintoye, Department of Science and Technology Education, Faculty of Education, Lagos State University, renewal of the appointment as the Deputy Centre Leader, Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education (LASU-ACEITSE).
It is for a period of *two (2) years*, with effect from *Saturday, 24th August 2024* to *Sunday, 23rd August 2026*.
Dr Muibat Fashola, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, has a renewal of the appointment as the Deputy Centre Director (Science), Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education (LASU-ACEITSE).
It is for a period of *one (1) year*, with effect from *Sunday, 31st March 2024* to *Sunday, 30th March 2025*.
The Vice-Chancellor in the statement wished all the appointees the very best in the discharge of their duties.
