Founder of Anu Olu Nursery and Primary School, Abeokuta, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal has expressed the commitment of the school to laying a solid foundation for every child to excel in future educational pursuit, just as he assured parents of easing the burden of payment of tuition fees on them, through the existing flexible system
Lawal gave the assurance during 2024 Valedictory Service and graduation ceremony of the school at its premises located at 3 Bola Lawal Street, opposite Anglican Junction, Off Quarry Road In the Ogun State capital, where he asked parents and guardians to always compliment the effort of teachers at the school by inculcating the spirit of hardworking and discipline in their children, so as to jointly raise a new generation of promising Nigerians, away from the disturbing trend of get-rich syndrome among youths who engaged in cyber -crime activities, popularly known as Yahoo-Yahoo boys and other social vices
He encouraged Nigerians particularly youths in South West to take advantage of arable land in the region,by embracing agriculture as serious business to make legitimate money and tackle the problem of food crisis and economic hardship being experienced in the country
"Our youths must be told how to work hard to succeed and shun Cyber -crime, parents and guardians must guide their children rightly "
Lawal who appreciated the parents support so far, also called for more assistance to improve on the existing infrastructure and teaching aides in the school, to sustain the tradition of academic excellence just like the already established Anu Olu International College Abeokuta
He later announced various incentives packages, including percentage cut in tuition fees for parents with two or more children in the school and pupils with exceptional academic performances to as ways of encouraging more moral and financial assistance for the growth of the school
The event was spiced up with various display of academic prowess of pupils, including reading and words pronunciation, drama and cultural dance to the admiration of parents and other guests
Highpoints of the event included presentation of prizes to pupils with exceptional academic performances and presentation of certificates to outgoing pupils in Nursery section promoted to primary section of the Anu Olu Group of Schools
