Ogun State Government has extended the sale of  its subsidised rice to retired Local Government staff and Primary School teachers, to demonstrate commitment to
welfare of senior citizens and mitigate the current economic hardship being experienced in the country.

Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, Engr. Olufisan Osiyale who made this known in Abeokuta, stated  that government was passionate about the well-being of retirees who had served the state diligently.

The Chairman, Local Government Pensioners Association of Nigeria (LOGPAN) Ogun State chapter, Pastor Benedict Ademoye in his response, appreciated Governor Abiodun for considering the retirees in the sale of subsidised rice

He urged  him not to relent in his good work, commending the Permanent Secretary in the Bureau for ensuring smooth purchase of the rice.
