Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has inaugurated office complex at Yewa North Local Government Secretariat in Ayetoro, a block of two classrooms at Community Primary School, Mooro-Ohunbe, 14 unit’s lockup shops at Ayetoro market in addition to Borehole with Gasoline Generator at Iya-Meta, Ohunbe, among others, just as he commissioned 40(forty) other capital projects in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the State
Governor Abiodun during the commissioning , said the project would create a conducive work environment for workers in the council and improve efficiency in the discharge of their duties.
Abiodun who was represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, stated that productive workforce could be achieved when necessary tools were provided for workers.
Also speaking, Chairman, Yewa North Local Government Area, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi, who appreciated Governor Abiodun for his unwavering support, said the transformational achievements recorded in the state was as a result of his visionary leadership, revealing that the projects which spanned across various sections, included, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure and many more.
Similarly Governor Abiodun commissioned 40 other projects in Ijebu North Local Government Area, to better the livelihood of people at the grassroots.
Abiodun speaking during the commissioning of Boreholes at Oke-Sopen and Oke-Jaga, Health centre at Itekule and Agunboye, Farmers’ open stalls at Ojowo-Atikori, among others, said the projects would impact positively in the lives of the people.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razak Daddah, the governor reiterated his administration interested in grassroots development, through provision of dividends of democracy to the people
He promised that the state government would not relent in supporting the LGAs.
He commended Chairman of the council for effective management of human and financial resources for executing the remarkable projects, advising residents to utilise and maintain them.
Earlier in his address, Chairman, Ijebu North LGA, Hon. Bolaji Olusanya expressed gratitude to the governor for commissioning the projects, stating that 40 projects were embarked upon in the last three years.
He maintained that renovation of the pavilion and other facilities were aimed at putting them into the best use, towards generating revenue for the council
He added that most of the abandoned health infrastructures were given facelift to nip any outbreak of disease within the local government and its environs in bud.
In his remarks, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba, represented by the Olokinni of Ojowo, Oba Abayomi Banjo lauded the development process brought about by the council in several communities.
