President of the Remolanders Club in Sagamu, RL. Oluwole Dawodu, has charged Muslims to lead the crusade of promoting unity among Nigerians, by always imbibing the Islamic teachings of tolerance , harmony and peaceful co-existence with other religious beliefs, as they join their counter-part in other countries to celebrate this year's Eid-el-Kabir festival on Sunday
Dawodu who gave the charge in his Sallah message from New York to the Club’s Secretariat, in Sagamu, Ogun State,expressed confidence that Nigeria would certainly achieved more in terms of development of human capital and economic growth, under a peaceful and harmonious environment
“Our nation has been drawn backwards in social, economic, political and other human development areas due to intolerance, insecurity and other vices. It is time for us to rise up as a nation, states, towns and communities, to come together in brotherhood and embrace peaceful coexistence according to the tenets of Islam, especially during this Sallah”, he urged
The Club President enjoined the entire people of Remo to take the Eid-el-Kabir ceremony as a rallying point for courtesy and moderation in their actions, in order to allow hitch-free and peaceful Sallah celebrations across the nook and crannies of the entire Remo territory.
He commended Governor Dapo Abiodun-led government’s efforts for its various legislations and deliberate steps taken so far to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in Remo axis and the whole state.
The president also extended the club's commendation to the Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, the Akarigbo of Remo, for his dedication to ensure peace in Remo kingdom.
