Be A Good Example To Young generation -Gov.Abiodun's Aide Charges ASUSS Women Wing In Ogun

Female  teachers who are members of the women's wing of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) in Ogun State have been charged to be good examples to the upcoming female generation, and maintain standards of a virtuous woman.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, gave the charge during the Inauguration of Debate Competition and Health Seminar, organised by the women’s wing of ASUSS, at Remo Divisional High School, Sagamu, identifying integrity as essential to nation building.

Soyombo encouraged women from all spheres of life to rise to their responsibilities, stand for the best and take their leadership positions to be worthy role models, not only to their children, but also the younger ones as well.

"Women matter so much in the society. Female members of ASUSS must stand for the best. Let us be leaders with good influence. Let integrity be our watchword", she said.

Speaking, the State Chairman of ASUSS, Comrade Dr. Oluwaseun Agbesanwa, stated that women were given a voice in the association, reiterating commitment to ensure continuous support for them.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo was honoured with an excellent award by the 70/74 Set of Remo Divisional High School Old Students Association, for her contribution in repositioning the education sector in the state.

Appreciating the set for the honour, the governor's aide noted that giving back to alma mater was in tandem with Governor Dapo Abiodun's Adopt a School Programme, assuring that government would continue to invest in education for the overall development of the state.
