Ogun Govt Assures Workers Of Commitment To Productivity

Ogun State Government has assured civil servants of the present administration 's continuous commitment to provision of the much-needed support to enhance their productivity which has been yielding positive results

The State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya who gave the assurance while receiving members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), led by Mr. Ahmed Gobir who paid him a visit at his Oke-Mosan Office, said government, through the Bureau of Establishments and Training had continued to sharpen the skills of the workforce, while various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government were also empowered to organise in-service trainings for workers.

Onasanya pointed out that the state Public Service was one of the best in the country, in terms of structure, organisation and efficient service delivery, as handed over by the forebears, stressing the need for Civil/Public Servants to sustain the tempo, in order to maintain the status.

He assured that government will continue to enhance the capacity building of its workforce through training and retraining programmes which is the basic ingredient for enhancing the smooth running of government business.

The HoS noted that CIPM, as partners in progress, had continued to be in the vanguard of promoting training and development, performance management via monitoring and evaluation, as well as goal setting and feedback mechanism, towards enhancement of qualitative service delivery, thereby building an efficient workforce in the state and the country at large.  

"I want to appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his role in the area of human capacity development, as a lot has been done to build efficient skills and knowledge of the workforce in all categories in the state Civil/Public Service", he said.

Earlier in his submission, the leader of the team, Mr. Gobir said the visit was to pledge allegiance and support to the HoS in his new assignment, as well as to seek for collaboration towards moving the Civil Service forward.
