Ogun Govt Assures Learners Of Sustenance Of Conducive Environment As Schools Resume For Third Term

Ogun State Government has assured learners in public primary, secondary schools, as well as Government Science and Technical Colleges of sustenance of conducive learning environment for them to excel ,as schools across the State resumed on Monday for 2023/2024 Third Tern Academic activities

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu who gave the assurance during the monitoring of resumption for the new term at Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu and Abeokuta,

"Government will continue to try its best to make school environments more conducive for teaching and learning through provision of infrastructural facilities like tables and chairs, computer set, electricity for productive academic attainment", he assured them

Arigbabu urged the learners to always update themselves in current issues around the world.

 He added that as students, certain information about their nationality, nativity and locality were basic knowledge needed for educational development.

The commissioner explained that the vision of the current administration was to raise learners that would become notable citizens, who could combine moral uprightness and family life with academic excellence, urging learners to prepare for West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to be focused, determined and be hard working, so as to pass their examination at one sitting and be ready for next stage of their education pursuit.

Speaking in an interview with journalists, the Principals, Anglican Girls' Grammar School, (senior) Ijebu-Ode, Mrs. Ebunoluwa Idowu and her private school counterpart, Mrs. Rachel Omitogun, Moslem Comprehensive High School, (junior and senior), Ijebu-Ode, Messers. Abimbola Ramoni and Olusegun Busari respectively, said they would be more committed to raising learners who would be future leaders.

Welcoming the Commissioner with rhymes, the primary four pupils of Christ Apostolic Church Primary School 1, Alapo Ijebu-Ode, affirmed their passion for education, as they promised to be dedicated, focused and committed to their studies.

Other schools visited include, Soyindo Community Grammar School, Sagamu; Methodist Comprehensive High School, Sagamu; Sagamu High School, Makun High School, Sagamu,; Methodist High School, Abeokuta and Agunbiade Victory High School, Magbon, Abeokuta.
