OGTV, RockcityFM, Sweet FM, Fresh FM, Splash FM Support Maiden Public Relations Week In Abeokuta




More electronic media organizations  including Ogun State Television, Rockcity101.9Fm, Sweet 107.1Fm,Fresh 107.9 Fm and Splash 106.7 all in Abeokuta,have joined  the increasing list of media partners supporting the historic hosting of the maiden Nigeria Public Relations Week In Ogun State capital, being organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)

Chairman of PR and Stakeholders Sub-Committee of NPRW 2024, Mr. Akin Okudero, a fellow of the institute, leading the media team of the major international event on courtesy visit over the weekend to the media stations in  Abeokuta ,said that the five broadcast stations would be joining Channel Television, Arise Television and TVC amongst others in Lagos who had earlier pledged to be media partners, providing news coverage for activities of the organizers holding between 22nd and 26th of April

General Manager of the OGTV, Mr. Tunde Kazeem, Chief Executive Officer of Boot Communications Ltd , operators of RockcityFM, Dr. Niran Malaolu, General Manager of Sweet FM, Mr. Eddy Aina, General Manager of Fresh FM, Mr. Goke Babalola and Head of Station for Splash FM, Mr. Gboyega Olaniyi announced their readiness to be among the media partners for the NPRW 2024 holding in the city

They lauded the unique initiative of NIPR to relaunch  the Nigeria's economy positively using powerful tools of Public Relations at the event expected to attract over 2,000 delegates who PR professionals across Africa 









Chairman of PR and Stakeholders Sub-Committee NPRW during the courtesy visit intimated the media executives of programme of activities being packaged for the event which included skill workshops being led by industry experts and networking opportunities for fellow professionals to connect with themselves and clients

The event according to him, features interactive session between PR professionals and students of Mass Communication Department in tertiary institutions in the country in addition to another interactive session with the traditional institution  on how monarchs can use Public Relations to effectively project themselves and reposition their respective communities 

Okudero, a former council member of NIPR added that the event would also be used to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Abeokuta through music, dance and art amongst others , featuring top musical Stars who are from Ogun State 

The media courtesy visit by the committee continues on Tuesday, 12th of March, 2024 with visit to OGBC, Correspondents Chapel of Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NOA and  NTA
