Lagos State University dominated the recently concluded maiden edition of the Transport Research Conference (ATR -2024) in Cape Town, South Africa , with the highest number of participants
The first-ever African Transport Research Conference (ATR-2024) brings together a wealth of interesting and relevant opportunities to advance transport research and solutions in and for Africa in a beautiful, world-class conference setting in Cape Town, South Africa.
The organisers are the Centre for Transport Studies of the University of Cape Town, in partnership with the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF).
The conference attracted researchers worldwide who worked on African transport in their scholarly activities, held between Tuesday, 5th and Thursday, 7th March 2024, at the Graduate Business School, University of Cape Town, South Africa.
The Lagos State University delegates to the conference include : a former Dean, Lagos State University School of Transport and Logistics, Professor Samuel Gbadebo Odewumi (Transport), Dr Ibraheem Forson (Transport) Dr Sunday Ajemunigbohun (Insurance),Dr Ayobami Elegunde (Business Administration), Dr Gazal Hammed (Project Management Technology), Dr Rasheed Azeez (Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management) ,Dr Fatai Yakeen (Transport) and Dr Olayiwola Giwa (Transport)
Others included Mrs Christy Bisiriyu (Transport), Mr Ibrahim Hassan (Public Administration), Mr Abiola Fagbenro (Transport),Mr Adetoyese Oguntimehin (Transport) and Mr Sherif Oladipo (Transport).
The delegates, all received full sponsorship based on the quality of research submitted for the conference.
At the conference, the Lagos State University delegates are the largest delegates from a single University.
