Olumo magazine 1968 Edition was to commemorate 50th Founders Day of Abeokuta Grammar School and was reprinted in 2022 by Rev. (AGSOBA) Olakunle Onaleye, formally known as Shehu, Residing in California, USA.
The magazine is now made available as e-magazine in 2024 by Rev. (AGSOBA)Olakunle Onaleye of 75/80, to all readers around the World, for them to know that Abeokuta Grammar School was founded and funded by Sons and Daughters of Abeokuta in 1908 and not the Egba Anglican Diocese, as claimed by the Anglican Communion.
In the year 2022, during organized Abeokuta City Wide Tour and Party hosted by Rev. (AGSOBA) Olakunle Onaleye of California USA, in commemoration of 114 Anniversary of the school, hosted by AGSOBA Onaleye, His Royal Majesty, Alake and the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Okukenu IV, and other people of timber and Caliber in Egbaland throw their weight behind the claim of how Abeokuta Grammar School came into existence through the efforts of these heroes and heroins, the SONS and DAUGHTERS of Egbaland.
The foundation of the Abeokuta Grammar School first site was at Ijemo Agbadu, Abeokuta and the first stone of the foundation of Abeokuta Grammar School was laid by the Alake, Gbadebo I, the Grandfather of the Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV.
The efforts of these heroes and heroin shall never be in vain and may their souls continue to rest in peace.
As you read the book you’ll come to conclusion that Anglican church did not establish Abeokuta Grammar School. Abeokuta Grammar School was founded and funded by the Sons and Daughter of Abeokuta.
The history of the ownership of Abeokuta Grammar School can not be eradicated.
