Team-Ogun Twin Brothers Qualify To Represent Nigeria In Judo At All African Games In Ghana




Twin-brothers , Taiwo and Kehinde Aremu who are members of Team-Ogun have secured their qualification tickets  to  represent Nigeria in the judo event of the forthcoming All African Games holding In Ghana 

The twin-brothers who are interestly  under the tutelage of their mother as coach, booked their qualification tickets at the  National Trial organized by the Nigeria Judo Federation,which ended last 6th of February, 2024 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital
 




Taiwo clinched the ticket in the 73 kg category while Kehinde secured his place in the 66kg category in the trial, to further consolidate their respective top positions as Nigeria's number number judokas in the two categories 

"Currently, we are ranked Nigeria number 1 in our respective weight categories. 
At the Portharcourt classic championships in Rivers State last year, we both won gold medals, and also, after the trials in Ibadan at the Nigeria Judo Federation camp 6th of February, we emerged winners in our weight categories", they told Edu-Biznews in an interview

The twin brothers are sons of former boxing  coach at the Ogun State Sports Council
