Accurate-Creative Minds Foundation (ACMF) on Wednesday rewarded teachers across four selected schools in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, in appreciation of their dedication to duty on the day that coincided with Cultural Day celebrations in the state and entire Nigeria
The school tour initiative according to the foundation, is targeted at celebrating punctuality among teachers and acknowledging their commitment to shaping the future generation of the country and Ogun State in particular
The teachers who were not only surprised but deeply touched by the acknowledgment of their efforts and punctuality in school, as each of them received a gift package, including essential food items and a practical plastic bowl as a symbol of the importance of their role in nurturing young minds.
ACMF's team, led by founder and director, Mr. Babatunde Odedele, visited each of the schools including Premier Grammar School, St. Peter College, Rev Kuti Memorial High School, and St. John High School where the most punctual teachers for the month of February.were honoured
The Most Punctual Teacher awardees include Mr. Akinola Timothy from Premier Grammar School, Mr. Musari Segun Omolaja from St. Peter College, Mrs. Salako Ibiyemi from Rev. Kuti Memorial School, and Mr. Adenekan Monsuru Adesina from St. John Anglican High School.
The principals were presented with wine as a token of appreciation, while other teachers received packs of pens to underscore the collective effort and teamwork within the school community.
The recipients expressed their gratitude to ACMF for the recognition and pledged to maintain their commitment to excellence.
Mr. Akinola Timothy, one of the awardees, a teacher at Premier Grammar School, expressed his gratitude, emphasising how the honour reaffirmed the value of diligence, punctuality in teaching profession
He described the award as a demonstration of belief in the rewarding a teacher who is dedicated to his or her duty in classroom
"The gifts would increase my instinct of coming early to school every day," he stated with excitement
Similarly, highly elated Mr. Musari Segun Omolaja, a recipient from St. Peter College, attributed the honour to divine providence.
"This will enable me to do more, to know that every effort there is always reward," he affirmed, pledging to redouble his efforts in serving his students diligently.
Mrs. Salako Ibiyemi, honoured at Rev. Kuti Memorial High School, expressed her appreciation for the unexpected recognition, as she commended ACMF and its sponsors for the kind gesture.
"I feel great and honoured among all the staff... It is a challenge to me to do more, not only on punctuality but in teaching and for the school to develop. Infact, this will ginger me to do more," she pledged
Mr. Adenekan Monsuru Adesina, recognised at St. John High School, described the honour as a significant milestone, inspiring him to strive for excellence not only in punctuality but in all aspects of teaching.
"The gift is not for me alone but for the school," he emphasised.
Reflecting on the purpose behind the initiative, Dr Babatunde Odedele who is the Founder and Director of ACMF, emphasised the importance of celebrating and motivating teachers for their hard work.
His words, "The project was to celebrate the teachers while they are alive and also to motivate them for their hard work, so our aim is to put in the subconscious of the teachers to give their best at all times".
"The success of this initiative was made possible through the generous support of Accurate Medical Diagnosis and Mama Joseph Variety Stores, who served as sponsors for the project.
"Their commitment to education and community development has played a significant role in empowering teachers and fostering a culture of excellence in Ogun State," Dr Odedele added.
"Through initiatives like these, ACMF aims to change the narrative surrounding teaching and inspire educators to give their best at all times, ultimately contributing to the development of education in Ogun State"
