PTA Chairman Wants Urgent Support Of Ogun Govt For Pry School In Olorunda




Baptist Primary School, the only public basic education school in Olorunda, a rural community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area is facing major crisis of inadequate classrooms and furniture for ever growing population of pupils in the school

Chairman of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) at the school , Hon.Oyadoke Samson in an interview with Edu-Biznews crew on Monday, the new year day, expressed concern over congestion of available eight classrooms in the school and inadequate furniture (chairs and desks ) for pupils 




Oyadoke called for urgent intervention of the Ogun State Government to quickly provide additional classrooms and furniture to create conducive learning environment for over 500 pupils at the school

The PTA Chairman said he renovated a block of classrooms as his constituency project as elected Councillor for Ward 13 in Abeokuta North Local Government Area in 2008 during the regime of former governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, stressing the need for government to support the school with provision of more classrooms, furniture and construct a fence round the school to prevent further encroachment of the school's compound and protect its property from burglars 

Members of PTA and old students association of the school according to him, have been supporting the school, interm of renovation of the block of classrooms and provision of chairs and desks for the pupils 




He however says the school has  enough teachers who need conducive working environment to impart knowledge on the pupils whose pulsations is growing every session

"We don't have enough classrooms and furniture (chairs and desks) for the pupils, we urgently need the support of the State Government. We are also ready for public spirited individuals who want to assist the school ", he pleaded
