Ogun TESCOM Boosts Teaching In Secondary Schools..Employs 100 Teach For Nigeria Fellows





Ogun State Teaching Service Commission(TESCOM) has employed 100 Teach for Nigeria Fellows to complement the teaching staff on its payroll, for posting to Secondary Schools in the State.

Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Dr. AbdulWaheed Olanloye who announced the teachers' recruitment at the commissions' Conference Hall, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, charged them to reciprocate government gestures by being alive to their responsibilities

He enjoined them to be punctual, hardworking and role models to students, appreciating Governor Dapo Abiodun for its unflinching support to the commission towards addressing the shortage of teachers.

Olanloye said the exercise would be continuous to give others the opportunity of employment towards improving human capital development in public schools across the state.

Also speaking, the Director, Appeal, Petition, and Discipline in the commission, Mrs. Marian Ogundare, urged them to maintain cordial relationships with teachers in the schools where they would be posted, urging them to be resourceful, adapt to the peculiarities of the schools, and explore the communities in which learners are residents.

Two of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Damilola Ishawunmi and Mr. Gabriel Akintunde thanked the State government and Management of Teach for Nigeria for the opportunity, promising to adapt and discharge their duties as expected.
