Ogun Female Student Gets Nigeria's First Lady N1m Yearly Scholarship Award


         


A female student from Ogun State,Miss Olayemi Alaka is now one of the recipients of N1million yearly scholarship scheme, a 
Renewed Hope Initiative" of Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu

The scheme whose  major objective is to empower families across the 36 States in the country, also gave a laptop to the recipent for her studies during the award ceremony held at the Banquet hall, State House, Abuja.

Wife of the State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun was said to have nominated Alaka  for the National Scholarship scheme based on her outstanding academic performances in both examinations conducted by The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB)  and West African Examinations Council (WAEC)
        
The awardee who hails from Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state, scored  306 marks  in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and four A1, three B2 and one B3 in her Senior School Certificate Examination (S.S.C.E) to qualify for the scholarship award.
      
The beneficiary expressed her profound gratitude to the Nation's First Lady and Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun for the gesture, promising to maximize the opportunity and make the country proud.
