Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Dr. Adegoke Rauf, as the substantive Rector of the Ogun State Government owned D. S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori-Ewekoro.
Chairman of the Institution's Governing Council, Ambassador Toye Okanlawon who announced the appointment of the new Rector in a statement, said it would be for a single term of five years in accordance with the new Polytechnic Act, effective from August 28, 2023
The new Rector takes over from Mr. Kehinde Job-Olatunji, who acted as the Institution's Rector till date.
The statement also indicated that until the appointment of Dr. Rauf, he was a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, where he served in various capacities including, Dean, School of Communication and Information Technology, Head, Department of Mass Communication, Elected Member of the Polytechnic’s Academic Board, among many other strategic positions.
It added that beyond MAPOLY, he had served as Moderator to the Department of Mass Communication of numerous Polytechnics and Universities.
He is an NBTE Resource Person, and a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, who has acquired a fine blend of experience as an academic scholar and a renowned professional.
