Fuel Subsidy Removal: Al'Mu'Minaat Calls For Sincerity In Distributing Palliative To States







AAl'Mu'Minaat, a  Frontline Muslim Women organization has asked the Federal Government to ensure sincerity in the distribution of palliative packages to the 36 States to cushion the effect of removal of fuel subsidy on Nigerians , 

Amirah of the organization, Hajia Sekinat Andur Raheem Yusuf   made the call over the weekend while declaring the week long activities of the group to a close at the Owu Central Moque Hall in Abeokuta,  the Ogun State capital

The Federal Government had.te rolled out a number of palliative packages including N5bilion to each of the 36 States and distribution of thousands of grains to 
the States to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy 

Reacting to the palliative, She  stressed the need for government to be cautious in the distribution of the palliative to the states, so as to  avoid suspicions and mistrust capable of leading to lack of public confidence in governance


" we implore the Federal Government under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of federal Republic of Nigeria, the Giant of Africa to handle the issue of oil subsidy removal with caution and utmost sincerity in order to avoid suspicion and mistrust which will eventually lead to lack of public confidence in governance", she added

The Believing Women organisation also saluted the courage of Governor Dapo.Abiodun for the implementation of palliative for workers on the payroll of the State Government 

"We also salute the courage of the state Governor His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, for the commencement of the palliative measures for the Ogun people necessitated by the subsidy removal"

"We advise the state government to do more in order to cushion effects of the oil subsidy removal especially on the masses", she stated
