Splash 106.7FM, Abeokuta side have emerged champions of the second edition of the Ogun SWAN Media Cup, after a hard-earned lone-goal win against hard-fighting OGBC 90.5, Abeokuta team in a final of the five-aside football competition powered by Otunba Segun Sowunmi
The second half goal seperated both sides in the keenly contested final played on Friday at the Funturf five-aside football pitch of the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Earlier , Oodua 99.9FM, Abeokuta team finished in the third position courtesy of a walk-over against Eagles FM, Ilese-Ijebu who failed to turn up for the losers final ,after their 2-3 loss to OGBC in semi-final of the competition organized by Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Ogun State
Cash prizes and medals were presented to the three top teams as well as outstanding players in the competition that attracted 20 teams from media stations and chapels of the State Counçil of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)
Top officials of SWAN in the South West zone and that of the State Sports Council were among the dignitaries that watched the final match
