Ogun State Government has concluded arrangement for the holding of the 2023 Democracy Day celebration this Monday, June 12, 2023 at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta as from10:00am.
Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya who announced this in statement, added that the celebration in honour of the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993, Presidential Election and the country’s symbol of democracy, late Chief Moshood Kasimawo Abiola would
feature match past by students, members of voluntary organisations, artisans, trade unions, as well as tributes and solidarity messages by the Civil Society Organisations, Pro-Democracy groups, and Human Right Activists.
According to the statement, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun will deliver the ‘Democracy Day’ address to the people of the State at the occasion while the stadium rally would be preceded by a prayer at the Chief MKO Abiola’s family house, Gbagura, Abeokuta at 9:00am.
