Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi has been reelected again as Chairman, Ogun State Football Association.
At the Elective Congress held at Agroterra Gulf Resort, Joga Orile, Yewa North Local government, Ogun State, Alhaji Majekodunmi who contested unopposed, polled 23 votes from a possible 23.
The Abeokuta, Ogun State born football administrator will lead the football body for the 4th term in the state.
Also Mr. Julius Akinkunmi emerged as Vice Chairman, while Mr. Abiodun Odejimi (Ogun Central), Alhaji Fatai Oyerogba (Ogun Central), Mr. Akeem Adeyemi (Ogun West) and Chief Okebunmi Akeem (Ogun West) won a seat in the board.
Others who emerged as board members are Mr. Orenuga A.A (Ogun East), Princess Olayinka Adesola (Ogun East), and Mr. Femi Bamgboye (Ogun East).
Legal luminary, Barrister Abayomi Omoyinmi who chaired the electoral committee charged the newly inaugurated board to consolidate on the success achieved in the last few years.
In his remark, the Ogun FA Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi assured that the board will not rest on its oars, until certain feats are achieved.
He said the 2023 Bet9ja Ogun State Football League which is already in the knockout stage will be wrapped up soon, so as to pave way for other events on the Ogun FA Calendar.
The Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ogun State, Dr. Qudus Yusuf represented the state government, while Otunba Sunday Dele Ajayi was the representative of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Stakeholders across board were also present at the elective congress.
