A total cash prize of N5million is up for grab for winners of inter schools quiz competition and other events at the 2023 Adewale Students Conference in Ogun State
Adewale Team who announced the cash prize during a tour to various secondary schools, asked the participating schools to get their best candidates ready for the students conference which includes speech and other games activities
The Adéwálé Students’ Conference kicks off the 2023 journey with a courtesy tour to a few selected schools and zonal education offices across different cities in Ogun state.
The team covered eleven schools by touching down seven local government areas in Sagamu, Abeokuta, and Sango.
The tour tagged “Adewale Goes to School” was dedicated to reaching out to secondary school students, especially science students, at the core of their learning comfort. To relay the vision and mission of the initiative in celebrating academic excellence.
The Convener, Michael Adesanya, and his team had memorable moments impacting the students and having fun while doing so through recreational games.
In his speech, he used his life experiences as a call to action to motivate the students.
He picked several examples from his time during secondary school, as documented in his debut memoir Adewale My Mother’s Son.
He endeared them to keep up the excellent work in their academic fit and reminded the students that being book smart is enriching. He shared how being an intellectual genius is worth celebrating and being seen as a talent.
In the same vein, the Adéwálé team gifted students with gifts, and the publisher of his memoir, TweakCentric Solutions, donated complimentary copies to the school libraries.
The Adewale Team met with past participants and ambassadors from previous editions during the tour.

They were met with great news of all ambassadors coming out with flying colours in the just concluded Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination (JAMB).
The Defending champions, Abubakar Zulqar'nain and Shoyele Toluwani of Apts Scholar Universal College scored 353 and 330, respectively. The first runner-up, Zakari Folajimi, and Nnamdi Jordell, scored 328 and 327. While the second runner-up from the last edition, Afenisumen Enoch emerged as the Overall Best in National JETS Competition 2023 and scored 355 in Jamb.
This news was received on good notes and reaffirmed the vision of the Adéwálé initiative.
Amongst the schools visited was the convener’s alma mater. It was a homecoming as Adewale went to school to show appreciation for the school's efforts in being part of his success story and giving him the platform to be part of the competitions that have shaped his life.
He also endeared them to strive for greatness and become educational outliers that would change the world.
All the schools that warmly received the Adéwálé team included Mayflower School, Ikenne, Remo Secondary School, Advanced Breed School, and Divine Life College in Sagamu. Saint Peter's College, African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta Grammar School, Trinity International College, Ofada, in Abeokuta. Apt Scholars Universal College, Iganmode Grammar School, and Great Grace Science Secondary School.
The Adéwálé team also paid a courtesy visit to the Zonal Education Officers(ZEOs) in the respective cities visited. To show appreciation for their support towards the success of the conference. Speaking with Mr Femi Joseph, Mr Kikisuhu Olugbenga, and Mrs Ogundimu, the team is assured that through the ZEOs, they have the Ogun State Ministry of Education’s full support.
The tour concluded with a fired-up motivation amidst the students and a big question, “Who will be the new champions for the Adéwálé Inter School Quiz 2023?” The only way to know is to have schools across all 20 local government areas of Ogun State participate.
