NNL : Sporting Lagos Force Gateway To 1-1 Draw As Officials Abandone NPFL Match In Ikenne-Remo

Gateway United Football Club have been forced to a one-all draw by the visiting Sporting Lagos in a second tier  Nigeria National League match played on Sunday at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State

Sunkanmi Odunsina gave the homeside the lead within 9 minutes of play before Kalu Emeka drew level  for the visitors in the 53rd minute

Coach Toyin Ayinla tutored side failed to recover from the goal conceeded, as they fought endlessly for the winning goal which never came till the end of the encounter

Meanwhile a Nigeria Premier Football League  match between host Remo Stars and Gombe United has been abandoned by match officials

The referees refused to resume for second half of the tie at the Remo Stars International Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State for fear of being attacked by home team  after the first half had ended in a goal less situation

An official of the match claimed that he was physically assaulted by one of the angry top , officials of Remo Stars during the first half, saying that they can not continue with such a tensed atmosphere

The report of the match commissioner will determine the next line of action by the Interim Management Committee for the league
