Nigeria's president elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to unfold his plan on how to ensure smooth academic particularly in the country's tertiary institutions which is faced with challenges of unstable academic calendar
Edu-biznews recalled that Tinubu had during his electioneering campaign to the February 25 presidential election, promised to ensure the autonomy of the university system as part of measures to address perennial strike by both academic and non-academic staff which bothered mostly on proper funding of the system to ensure provision of basic infrastructure as well as learning equipment for students and proper welfare of workers
He also promised to make provision for students loan to ensure that no Nigerian is denied qualitative education at tertiary level on the basis of no financial support to such students
These and many programmes and initiatives are expected to be unveiled to reshape the education sector , particularly the university system and other tertiary institutions
