Ogun State wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has tasked the newly elected Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Hameed Benco-Ademola to join forces with the union in supporting laws aimed at improving education sector as well as welfare of workers in the state
The State of NUT, Comrade Abiodun Akinola and Secretary, Comrade Samson Oyelere who gave the charge in a jointly signed congratulatory messages made available to Edu-biznews on Sunday, described Benco-Ademola as a union leader who is very passionate about welfare of workers and a worthy ambassador of the labour movement in the state
"Ogun State workers have spoken loudly due to your antecedents, humane disposition to workers plights and positive impacts you have made in your chosen career as a worthy ambassador of the labour movement,"the union stated
"We hereby urge you to be more determined by joining others to defend the interest of Ogun State Workers which will strengthen/deepen our stand as wealth creator, alleviates people from their low estate and attracts developmental projects to the Council folds," NUT urged .
"In addition, we appeal that you plan, prepare and support laws that will improve the education system at the upper echelon in the State at all times", the union concluded
