INEC declares APC’s Sanwo-Olu Wins Lagos Guber Poll As INEC Declares Election In Kebbi As Inconclusive



Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been declared winner of the Saturday March 18,2023  governorship poll in Lagos State by the Independent National Electoral Commission

Sanwo-Olu was re-elected after polling a total of 762,134, votes to defeat his closest, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, LP  who scored 312,329 votes while Dr Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP finished in a distant third position with just 62,449 votes

Governor Sanwo-Olu  however extended hands of fellowship to both  Rhodes-Vivour and Adediran to join him in moving Lagos to the next level

Sanwo-Olu described the victory as no winner, no vanquished, in his 
Acceptance Speech after being declared as the 15 elected Governor of Lagos State by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Meanwhile INEC’s Resident Electotal Commissiiner in Kebbi State,  Professor Yusuf Saidu has declared the governorship election  inconclusive over what he described as irregularities which marred elections in 18 local government areas of the state

The returning officer for the poll quoted relevant sections in the electoral act which empowers him to declare the results inconclusive
