Nigeria's Flying Eagles were ruthless on Friday, thrashing the Junior Cathage Eagles of Tunisia 4-0 in a consolatory match for bronze medal at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Under 20 competition in Egypt
Ibrahim Muhammed opened scoring for the Nigerian side within just nine minutes of play before half time
But the Tunisians were only able to hold the rampaging Flying Eagles within the first half, as the Nigerians increased the tally in the remaining half with three goals
Ahmed Abdullahi extended the lead for the Ladan Bosso tutored side with the second goal in the 49th minute before Jude Sunday scored a dazzling solo goal to put the Nigerian side 3 goals up.
The highly enterprising Jude later put the icing on the cake with an exquisite finish , to complete the demolition of Tunisians within the stoppage time and clinched the bronze for the third time in history of Nigeria in AFCON U-20 Championship
Flying Eagles were edged out of the competition by Gambia who stunned them by a lone-goal while Senegalese Cubb Lions thrashed Tunisians 3-0 in the other semi-final match of the competition
All the four countries will represent Africa at the coming FIFA Under 20 World cup in Indonesia later in the year
