Nante of France striker, Moses Simon scored the only goal of the match from the spot kick to give all the three points of the match and restore their lead at the top of the table, two points ahead of Guinea Bissau with seven points ,Leone Stars of Sierra Leone are in third position with five points while Sao Tome and Precipe side are at the bottom with just a point
The three-time African champions had lost their position at the top of Group A standing following a shock 0-1 defeat to Guinea Bissau in the first leg match at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja earlier on Friday
The Jose Paseiro tutored side will now travel to Sierra-Leone on June 12 for the next qualifier before playing at home to Sao Tome and Precipe on September 4, 2023
