NPFL: Doma End Rivers United's Unbeaten Run





Newly promoted Doma United Football club of Gombe on Sunday ended the unbeaten run of the Nigeria Premier Football Football League (NPFL) defending champions, Rivers United of Port-harcourt, with a slim 2-1 win 

Doma  came from  behind  to beat the visiting Rivers United who took the lead Dennis Ndasi  in the 25th minute before the homeside responded through a brace from
Usman Musa in the 34th and 66th minutes respectively 

Also Gombe United had earlier on Saturday ended the winning streak of Bendel Insurance after holding their host to a goal less draw in Benin-city 

Dakkada FC lost to the visiting  Abia Warriors by 2-4, with goals from 
Emmanuel Ayaosi (65'), Aniekan Ekpe (84'), Emmanuel Onu (27) and 
John Peter (48') while Felix Aniekwe (79) and Monday Yakubu (90) reduced the goals tally for the home side 


Enyimba International of Aba defeated the visiting  El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri with  a brace from Chukwuemeka Obioma in the  27th and 45th minutes respectively

Akwa United inflicted second defeat on Remo Stars with a 3-1 win courtesy of   
Cyril Olisema who open scoring from the penalty spot in the 5th minute before Qudus Akanni drew level in 23rd minute while 
Uche Collins  restored the lead in the 44th minute and 'Ṣẹgun Olalere extended the lead in the 60 the minute -

Wikki Tourist  of Bauchi edged past Enugu Rangers by a lone goal scored by Abubakar Aliyu in 45th minute of the match

Sunshine Stars of Akure also recorded similar margin against 1-0 Bayelsa United of Yenegoa courtesy of Chukwude Stephen's goal in 4th minute

Niger Tornadoes of Minna and Lobi Stars of Makurdi ended their tie in a goal less draw while Plateau Utd  managed a lone-goal win against Kwara Utd through Dagbo Muritala's goal in the 30th minute of the match while Shooting Stars of Ibadan defeated visiting Nasarawa United FC through Samuel Ayanrinde who grabbed a brace in the 40th and 43rd minutes respectively
