Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB) has re-assured teachers in public schools of Improved welfare packages, as schools resumed for the second term of 2022/2023 academic session in the state
The Executive Chairman of SUBEB,Dr. Femi Majekodunmi who led the monitoring team of the agency to some schools in Abeokuta axis of the State to monitor the level of preparedness for second term of the academic session, gave the re-assurance to the teachers
He expressed satisfaction for the commitment demonstrated by the authorities in the schools visited , noting that the visit was to encourage the teaching and non-teaching staff and urge them to redouble their efforts in the new academic session, to further assist learners in their studies.
The SUBEB boss stated that “the present administration has put in place resources to develop the education sector in the State, and we expect teachers to reciprocate the gesture in this academic session. Your welfare is key to achieving the revitalisation agenda of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, and I want to assure you that the government will continue to engage you for maximum productivity”.
In her remark, the Headteacher, Baptist Nursery and Primary, School 1, Mrs. Olayiwola Christana Olukemi, expressed the school’s readiness at ensuring smooth teaching and learning activities for the term.
Other schools visited include, Nawar-Ud-Deen Nursery and Primary School, Ilugun Ikija, Abeokuta, Baptist Nursery and Primary School II, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Ijeun Lukosi.
