The Cycling team of Ogun State contingents on Wednesday clinched gold medal at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival in Warri, Delta State.
The team Ogun defeated other States in the 4km pursuit category at a record time.
The cyclists, Emmanuel Agbebi, Usman Akinsemoyin, Abiodun Akinsanya and Azeez Lawal, who represented the State at the event attributed the achievements to their preparation and support of the State government, promising to win more medals in the course of the event.
Speaking, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde said he was confident that the State contingents would make Ogun proud in all the slated events.
According to Kehinde, “our contingents are performing because of their smart preparedness and experience”.
