Gov Abiodun Extends Grace Period For Property Owners In Ogun To Regularize Documents

Governor Dapo Abiodun has extended the grace period given to  property owners who built outside Ogun State Government acquisition without obtaining building permit, to regularise their documents

The State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,Town Planner Olatunji Odunlami who made this known in a statement, says the amnesty period which expired on the 4th of November, 2022 has been extended till December 31st 2022

He enjoined the affected property owners whom the governor had earlier granted waiver of not paying penalty fees, to take advantage of the fresh grace period to regularize their illegal buildings

"This is a further demonstration of the governor’s mantra of” Building Our Future Together” in Ogun State.
Citizens who fall in this category are enjoined to take advantage of this extension to regularise their illegal developments", the statement stated

This is to provide opportunities similar to that currently being enjoyed under the Property Registration Programme, by those who have built in government acquisition.
