Ogun State contingents numbering 100 are set to storm Lagos, Nigeria's commercial city in readiness for their participation in the 2022 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST), holding between Monday, November 7 and November 13
The State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo revealed this in Abeokuta, during a meeting with the State's NAFEST stakeholders, noting that the Ogun was prepared to actively partake in the week-long annual festival which has its theme: "Culture and Peaceful Co-Existence".
According to her, ‘’the State has 100 contingents that will participate in different competitions, to showcase the cultural endowments of the State and unite the nation through Arts and Culture’’.
The Commissioner who appreciated
Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unrelenting efforts in promoting culture , said the contingents would make the State proud to justify the support given so far
She appealed to them, to put in their best to maintain the status quo of being the best in previous Arts and Cultural festivals.
