Governor Dapo Abiodun will be presenting staff of office to the new Olowu of Owu- Kingdom , His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr)Saka Adelola Matemilola duriñg his coronation as the 14th Olowu holding this Saturday at the grand finale of the 2022 Odun Omolowu slated for Oba Adisa Odeleye Park , Ori- Omi in Abeokuta , the Ogun State capital
Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the celebration, Chief Ekundayo Opaleye and Oba Olufemi Ogunleye who is the chairman of the coronation committee made this known at a press conference on Sunday at Olowu Palace in Abeokuta
The event according to the committee will be witnessed by former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and Olu of Warri kingdom, Oba Ogiame Atuwatse as royal father of the day amongst other dignitaries
The week long activities for the annual Cultural festival "Odun Omolowu being celebrated this year with the coronation of the new Paramount ruler for the Owu-Abeokuta kingdom, will be kick-starting at Olowu Palace this Monday, 24th of October, 2022 with a medical outreach/consultation while Cultural night hold later on the same day
On Tuesday, people in various villages and settlements in Owu-Abeokuta kingdom will pay homages to Olowu Palace while Drama Concert hold later at the same venue
The homages by various villages and settlements continue on Wednesday as well as games and sports including Scrabble

The committee added that there would be colloquium, fund raising for the Olowu Foundation, as well as seminars for youths and children at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library OOPL in Abeokuta on Thursday between 9 am and 1pm
On Friday , there will be golf tournament which tees off at the Abeokuta Golf Course between 7am and 5pm as well as Skills Development Seminar at OOPL during the same period while the grand finale of the activities hold on Saturday at Oba Adisa Odeleye Park Ori-Omi, Abeokuta
The new Olowu is expected to address World press conference on Sunday after Thanksgiving by Traditionalists, Muslims and Christians at the Olowu Palace
