A member of the Ogun State of Assembly, Hon.Yusuf Adejojo representing Abeokuta South 1 Constituency has lost his bid to secure a return ticket on the platform of All Progressives Congress APC, following dismissal of a suit challenging his defeat at the party's primaries
A Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta on Friday upheld the election of Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregoes as candidate of APC for the Constituency in the forthcoming State House of Assembly poll in 2023
Justice O O. Oguntoyinbo dismissing the case, said that Adejojo failed to provide the substantial evidence to support his arguments against the election of Doregoes
Some of the people from the Constituency lauded the judgement of the court, accusing the Lawmaker of failing to provide the dividends of democracy for them before seeking the re-election ticket to contest on the platform of APC despite their warning in the constituency not to do so
According to them, the House Chairman on Information, Culture and Tourism Committee neglected the Constituency for the past three years
They accused him of not executing a single project to show his commitment to the well-being of his constituency, saying he has not even sponsored any bill towards the development of the constituency.
Also reacting to the judgement, the duo of Otunba Saka Adebayo and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Ikudeti in a separate interview with newsmen, accused the Lawmaker of not showing committment to development to the constituency adding that he has not brought any developmenal initiative to the area.
They commended the Judge for being firm and fair in his judgment, saying they were in support of the court ruling for laying the foundation of making true changes in the political setting of the country.
The judgement according to them, will serve as lesson for others who use to abandoned their socio-economic responsibilities to their people after their elections into the offices.
