Ogun Assures Teachers Of Continuous Support..Ask Them To Be More Committed

Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has assured teachers on its payroll that the present administration would continue to give priority to their welfare as part of moves to further  motivate and encourage them for effective service delivery.

The Chairman, Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evang. Olalekan Ifede gave this assurance during an unscheduled monitoring exercise to Orile Ilugun Comprehensive Senior High School, Orile Kessi Grammar School, Olodo and Egba Odeda High School in Odeda Local Government Area of the State.

The Commission Boss noted that the welfare of teaching and non-teaching was highly key to achieving the revitalisation agenda of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, adding that the government would continue to engage them to further improve the education sector.

According to him, "the present administration has put in place resources to develop the education sector in the State, and we expect teachers to reciprocate the gesture in this new academic session’’.

He urged school administrators and teaching staff to be committed to duties, conform to the laid down rules guiding their profession and ensure they leave good legacies for students to emulate, urging them to always conclude their syllabus with students at the end of every term.

Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Dr. Abdulwaheed Olanloye said teachers were pivotal to education fortune and should dissipate their skills with strong passion, imploring them to perfectly mold students under their supervision to foster a peaceful and advanced academic system.

In his response, the Principal of Orile Ilugun Comprehensive High school (senior), Mr. Gorge Olusegun appreciated the Governor for regular payment of running costs, saying it had enhanced the smooth running of schools, promising to reciprocate the government’s investment in the sector.

In the same vein, Evang. Ifede urged the Principals and teachers in Remo axis to redouble efforts in the new academic session, to enable the students excel in their studies.

The Commission Chairman stated this during a monitoring exercise at United High School, Ikenne, Batoro Community Grammar School (Junior), Sagamu, and Makun  High School (Senior), Sagamu.
