Leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students led other students on Monday and distrupted activities at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos in protest against the ongoing seven months old strike in public universities by the Academic Staff Union of Universities
The students shutdown operations at the domestic terminal one also known as the General Aviation Terminal and terminal two operated by Bi-Courtney Aviation Service Limited of the Airport and the MMA,
The situation prevented passengers from entering the airport, forcing airlines to reschedule flight .
The African Action Congress presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore was also seen as a former student leader joining the protest
Both Federal Government and ASUU are now in National Industrial Court over the strike
