Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has emerged as the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, succeeding Amaju Melvin Pinnick ,a council member of Federation of International Football Association FIFA
Gusau, a former Chairman of boards chairmen scored 21votes to defeat the outgoing first vice president, Seyi Akinwunmi who polled 12 votes during an election at the 78th Annual General Meeting of the federation held on Friday in Benin-city , the Edo State capital
He was declared winner after Akinwunmi and two others Mallam Shehu Dikko with six votes and Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola who scored just a votes withdrew from the second of the election, except ex-international, Peterside Idah who polled a vote
After the second of voting Gusau increased his votes to 29 while Idah, a former goal keeper for Super Eagles scored just a vote
Others who contested the first round of the race include Dr. Christian Emeruwa and David-Buhari Doherty who recorded zero.vote each
