Governor Dapo Abiodun has reassured members of Ogun State chapter of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), of providing necessary support to improve the education sector in the State.
Governor Abiodun gave the reassurance during the presentation of a bus to the association in Abeokuta, the State capital,saying the vehicle will ease ANCOPSS activities, as the association was a major stakeholder in the educational development of the State.
He noted that the donation was in fulfillment of the promise made to support the association with resources needed in carrying out its functions effectively, saying, “ANCOPSS deserves a befitting bus and secretariat to aid its administrative work because the government wants it to be the best among other States’’.
The State helmsman said, ‘’Our administration will ensure that the State maintain its first position in the sector among other States of the federation, as we continue to give necessary attention to the development of education’’.
In her response, the President, ANCORPSS, Dr. (Mrs.) Ayodele Womiloju described the gesture as an indication that the present government was determined to enhance administrative management of schools, assuring that the Principals would continue to cooperate with the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in the quest to improving education standard in the State.
