Nigeria's Chief Librarian Lauds Abiodun For Huge Investment In Ogun Library Services, Education Sector




The National Librarian and Chief Executive Officer of the National Library of Nigeria, Prof. Chinwe Anunobi has lauded  Governor Dapo Abiodun for his huge investment in education and the development of library services in Ogun State,

Anunobi who paid courtesy visit on the governor in his Okemosan-Abeokuta Office, inside the State Government Secretariat, was particularly impressed with the strategic location given to the National Library for the construction of a branch in the State capital.

She said that Abiodun's administration had done a lot to improve the quality of education, through its various policies and programmes, which had made the Ogun State, the education capital of Nigeria.

She acknowledged the Governor for being passionate about education and the massive infrastructural development of the State, as well as the level of work done on the Sagamu-Abeokuta road.

Anunobi said, “I am here to appreciate the Governor for his various feats in education and infrastructure, especially the strategic place for the establishment of the prototype branch Library of the National Library of Nigeria".

Governor Abiodun noted that his administration was delighted with the construction of the National Library in the State Capital, adding that the choice of the location was to ensure the accessibility of the library.

Abiodun stated that the present government was using technology to drive its educational system and the harmonisation of revenues and taxes, to fast-track infrastructural and educational development.
