AFCON U-17:Brunks Warwick Offers Tips To Golden Eaglets' Technical Crew On How To Excel In Algeria





Nigeria's born Uefa -A Professional Licensed Coach , Brunks Warwick has offered tips to technical crew of Golden Eaglets, ahead of their world cup qualifiers at the 2023 Under 17 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Algeria

The founder of the Abeokuta based Golden Santos Soccer Academy in a chat with Edu-biznews over the weekend, asked Chief Coach of the Nigeria's cadet side, Nduka Ugbade to ensure players play as a team with more composure for them to do better particularly against countries from Central Africa and other oppositions at the next year's world cup qualifiers in Algeria

Warwick, a former Assistant Coach of Guinea-Bissau's Cadet side in 1992 suggested to the coaching crew to build the team round deadball specialist, Emmanuel Michael who has what it takes as defender to make things happen for the side in their world cup qualifiers in Algeria


The Japan 2006 World Universities Game coaching crew member of the  Liverpool John-Moore University in the United Kingdom, however praised Golden Eaglets for winning the WAFU-B Championship recently in Cape Coast, Ghana

"The players have a winning mentality, they have push for scoring goals but they need to play more as a team, there are alot of talented players in the current squad of the Golden Eaglets", Warwick stated 

The one-time utility player of FC Porto of Portugal, Saint Entente of France and Nigeria's El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri expressed confidence that the five-time world champions would excel at the Afcon in Algeria and qualify as one of the Africa's representatives at the world cup, having scaled the major hurdle at the WAFU-B Championship against oppositions from West Africa

He cautioned Nigerian fans against putting the players under unnecessary pressure to win the U-17 Afcon in Algeria, saying the team should be left to play its game and qualify for the world cup

"Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should give the technical crew the needed support for the team to excel", Warwick pleaded
