Rector of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe has congratulated staff of the polytechnic on double celebration of May-Day and Eid-el-Fitri, asking them to redouble and rededicate their efforts for the development of the Nigeria's premier tertiary Institution
The Rector in a congratulatory message made available to Edu-Biznews on Monday, commended the workers for what he described as hard work, dedication and committment to duties over the past years
He also enjoined Muslims and Non-Muslim members of both academic and non-academic staff celebrating the successful completion of 30days of Ramadan fasting, to to imbibe the virtue of love and peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed(PBUH)
The message reads in parts:
"I thank our industrious staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to duties over the past years".
"I appreciate the three staff unions, ASUP, SSANIP, and NASU for being credible partners of progress and development in the administration of the College"
"I appeal to you all to redouble and dedicate yourselves to the service of the College."
"It is my considered opinion that we have worked diligently hard, therefore, the God that we serve will bless the work of our hands. *Our Labour will not be in vain, Amen"
"I also congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters in the college on the completion of the 30 days Ramadan dua and fasting".
"I enjoin all Muslim and non-Muslim staff of the College to imbibe the virtue of love and peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed(PBUH)""
