NPFL : Remo Stars Suffer Another Loss

Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo suffered first home loss and second consecutive defeat in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, after losing by a lone-goal to the visiting Akwa United of Uyo in a mid-week match played at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State

The Gbenga Ogunbote tutored side who had last Sunday lost by similar margin to Gombe United on the road, failed to draw level after conceding first goal at home this season, to the league defending Champions  

Bottom placed Mountain of Miracles and Fire, MFM FC beat Katsina United by a lone-goal in Lagos, Plateau United defeated Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan in Jos, 3-1, Kwara United also managed a slim one/nil win against Enyimba International of Aba in Ilorin

Other matches played, Wikki Tourists narrowly defeated hard-fighting Kano Pillars 2-1 in Bauchi while Niger Tornadoes edged past the visiting Sunshine Stars of Akure by a goal in Minna
