Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB has expressed its committment to continue to improve on standard of education, particularly in Primary and Junior Secondary school levels to enable students to excel in their studies and sustain the dominance of the state in the Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientists JETS National Competition.
Edu-Biznews recalled that the state has won the prestigious quiz Competition among schools in Nigeria for the third consecutive year , 2020, 2021 and 2022
Chairman of SUBEB, Dr Femi Majekodunmi gave the assurance in Abeokuta, while hosting the overall winner in Mathematics at the recently concluded National JETS Competition in Nasarawa State, Miss Ewaoluwa Taiwo.
Dr Majekodunmi, expressed joy at the outstanding performance of the pupil who had made the State proud, describing her as a worthy ambassador of the State.
"I’m happy you represented Ogun State well, I’m very proud of you, you are a good ambassador that has exhibited excellence and I am expecting more trophies from subsequent competitions. For us as a government, we will ensure that the standard of education is raised at all levels", he assured.
The SUBEB boss appreciated the teachers for their unrelenting efforts in raising the proud future leaders of the nation, enjoining them to work harder, so as to produce more outstanding students.
Speaking, Miss Taiwo, a pupil of Adeola Odutola Elementary School, Ijebu-Ode, lauded the government for its support in providing a good and conducive environment for learning, advising other students to be studious.
