Kuto Market In Abeokuta Shut down For Violating Sanitation Regulations





Commercial activities  at the popular Kuto Market in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital have been paralysed, following the shutdown of shops and stalls by the State Government,over  the failure of traders at the market to sanitize environment, leaving mountain of heaps of rubbish without evacuating them 

Edu-Biznews visit to the market on Friday, saw the security operatives and Sanitation personnel manning the main- entrance to the market to enforce the closure of the market from shops and stalls near  Kuto Fly over down to the inside Oba Lipede Market and surrounding




Special Adviser On Environment To The Governor, Ola Oresanya commenting on the situation, explained that the closure became necessary following the refusal of the traders to comply with sanitization regulations after warning them over the violation

 The traders are now counting their losses, haven been out of business for two days
