An energy firm, Petrolex Oil and Gas Limited based in Ogun State, is expected to engage 1,000 people when the company begins full operation in the State in the next five weeks.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Mr. Segun Adebutu revealed this to newsmen in Abeokuta after a meeting with Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun
He explained that the project would expand the economy base of the State, noting that about 300 people had already been employed
"We came to discuss with the Governor about my project at Ibefun, an oil and gas project. It has been a long journey and I am happy that it is finally coming into being active in the next few weeks. It started in 2017 and it will go into full operation in the third week of January next year. Already, we have employed about 300 and by the end of January, over 1000 people will be working there", the CEO said.
Adebutu who was impressed with the on-going development in the State, appreciated the present administration for giving attention to road infrastructure, noting that it is one of the basic necessities needed to drive investment in any society.
